What Do You Love About Caricatures? For me they’re logic puzzles, an arena of art I can approach almost entirely analytically and strike a good result. The problem you’re solving is in the form of a face, the answer a likeness, equaling many possible results. What this means for me is that there is unlimited room for improvement and new approaches, which makes it interesting. I love caricatures because they’re interesting.

For Struggling Artists: Improvement doesn’t happen overnight, but it will probably seem like it did when you finally notice some yourself. So you just have to find a way to enjoy working at it, if you don’t already. If you’re stuck and feel like quitting, you can’t see improvement and drawing frustrates you, then take a break. Art can be your passion and your calling in life without eating up all your motivation and love and time.

Celeste has raw drawing abilities that made caricatures simple.  She was one of the quickest students CartoonVegas ever had, and hasn’t stopped advancing since.  Her quick wit and sharp observational skills have kept her on top of our list of best-producing artists for years.

If you have the chance to visit and talk to Celeste, you should.  She knows a little bit about everything, and her observations are worth hearing.

    Hi Celeste!
Several years ago, you came to our school on Nellis Air Force Base and helped us with our school’s art & music event. You drew a caricature of me and it now hangs in the main hallway of my new school, Keller Elementary on the east side of Vegas. The students love it! I would love for you to contact me about doing another caricature for me and my assistant principal. Hope to hear from you. Sincerely, Audrey Carroll, Principal, Keller Elementary
