It’s time for a celebration for the younger generation. Parties for children come in almost as many varieties as kids themselves. Whether if its a birthday party for one special child or an end of season team blow-out our guide will make sure you have all your bases covered when it comes to planning.
“Location Location Location!” Choose a place for your party that fits the number of guests you have and your budget. Having a party in a park or a pool gives your child and their guests’ plenty of room to run, play and be noisy and is easy on the pocketbook. Cash save can be spent on bringing a bouncy house to the park. Having a party indoors, where the weather is always perfect, is an option as well. There are kid-friendly restaurants with rides and games and a helpful staff to help clean up any mess. And there’s always having a party at home. It is often the least expensive option and older family and friends can help keep an eye on the joyous mayhem.
After you’ve selected a place, the next thing to consider is a theme. Picking a theme can be tricky when it comes to children. You should know the likes or dislikes of the kid or kids you’re planning for to avoid wasting time and money. Kid tastes can change very quickly and ruin plans before they get off the ground. For instance, a kid may have been a fan of Spider-man for a long time, and then suddenly The Flash is the new favorite out of the blue. To avoid this, rather than planning a Spider-man party try a superhero themed party instead. A more general theme can save you a headache as well as giving the child’s guests some space to express themselves too.
When considering entertainment options, don’t forget all the parents in attendance. If you have games that all the kids can play together, make sure there are a couple of party games that the adults can participate in if they’d like. Similar to choosing, a theme, make sure the entertainment is tailored to the kids in mind. One kid may enjoy a clown coming to their house, another would rather have a pirate or a princess. And of course, some kids would skip all of that and rather play video games. If your child is the video game type don’t despair! Consider running a mini-tournament. The kids will love challenging each other head to head or trying to beat one another’s times around a virtual track. Of course a caricature is great for any kid celebration. They can be drawn inside their favorite game, or as their favorite movie character.
What you can expect from your caricature artists
We can draw up to 20 people per hour in black and white, 12 people per hour in color. We can create personalized party favors with graphics or images specific to your party and theme. We provide conversation pieces at the party as guests show off their mementos to one another.
What you will need to provide
Chairs for our artists and your guests. Tables are also suggested, so guests can set drinks and personal items down while they are being drawn. Your artists will need lighting or power outlets to bring lighting in. A quiet area away from the dance floor, but near the entrance to be found easily would be ideal.
